Budi Agung Kuswara, or also known as Kabul, was born in Malang on 25 July 1982. He studied art at The Indonesian Art Institute, Yogyakarta. His works are neither abstract nor abstract-expressionist in nature, but they tend to be processed realistic forms. It is the encompassing ambiance of such pictorial drama underscoring realistic forms that feels abstract and personal in the same time. His exhibition “i.self” was held at Komaneka Fine Art Gallery in 2008.
